Matching Gifts

Did you know that many employers will match a donation that an employee makes to a qualified non-profit organization such as LymeDisease.org?

What if you could double or even triple your donation to LymeDisease.org?

Did you know that many employers will match a donation that an employee makes to a qualified non-profit organization such as LymeDisease.org.

While the vast majority of companies will match the employee’s donation on a 1:1 ratio, there are several companies who will match on a 2:1, 3:1 and even 4:1 ratio up to the company’s designated donation maximum.

Employers Matching Donation Examples:

General Electric Matching Gift Program Basics

  • Minimum matched: $25
  • Maximum matched: $5,000
  • Match ratio: 1:1
  • Eligible employees: full-time, part-time

Coca Cola Matching Gift Program Basics

  • Minimum matched: $25
  • Maximum matched: $20,000
  • Match ratio: 2:1
  • Eligible employees: full-time, retirees

Matching gift requests are usually per calendar year but check with your Human Resources Department to see if they have any specific deadlines or special matching programs. Frequently, a company might announce that for a specific period of time they will increase their matching gift.

Almost all the Fortune 500 companies have a matching funds program but so do many smaller companies. Don’t count your company out just because it is not a huge corporation. All you have to do is ask.

The process is very simple and easy to do.

  1. Employee or retiree (if company allows) donates to LymeDisease.org
  2. Employee checks eligibility for a company gift match (contact Human Resources Department)
  3. Lymedisease.org will send you an email confirming receipt of your donation that you can submit to your HR Department
  4. Company reviews the match request and verifies donation
  5. Company matches the employee gift.

Make a matching fund donation below

  3. Complete your personal information (including your email address) and payment information
  4. Once the process is completed, we will send you an email confirming your donation that you can send to your Human Resources Department.
